Highland Mystic
The Story of the Stone
Highland Mystic is the gateway through which the more esoteric elements of the British Isles are channelled. The incredible history of this crystal skull is a tale worth telling.
Loch Ness is a focal point for many a mystic site and it was here, in ancient times that stone circles were built, allegedly by the same people who built the Ring of Brodgar, Skara Brae, Stones of Stennes and many other ancient sites scattered across Scotland, UK, Europe & beyond.
One giant stone, larger than all the rest, overlooked Loch Ness, facing the rising sun. At the top of this stone was a smooth-carved hole, the receptacle for a large sacred crystal. Its position enabled it to catch the rays of the rising sun and burn brightly throughout the day.
The Highland Eye, as this crystal became known, attracted pilgrims from all across the land, seeking to bathe in its radiance and consult with the Highland Mystic, the last of the ancients who raised these stones.
Time passed. Biblical flood and war changed the dynamic of the landscape. Many mystical sites were plundered, the Highland Eye disappeared The giant stone monolith location, the crystal Eye itself and the energies they channelled faded into legend.
Tales woven into Mystic Poetry, that tell of the Highland Eye’s path, as seer, oracle, its very whereabouts becoming part of the legend mystery itself.
It seemed providence that in modern times the tale of a Smoky Quartz crystal, now carved into the shape of a human skull came through. The only way to verify that this was the Highland Eye of lore, was to bring the skull to Scotland. Then find the giant monolith, return the Crystal Eye back to see if the gate, to the Highland Mystic, could be reopened by its crystal Eye
These stories, poems and pictures tell of that voyage. They invite you to make them part of your story, to grow, seek out connecting mysteries, as more are translated and released over the coming years.

The Story of the Scribe
Bill MacNeil was born in the Highlands of Scotland, brought up along the twisting rivers and rugged shores of Loch Ness. From an early age, he learned about the connections present in nature, the way one thing depends on another, bound together by the spirit energies that live within and around everything that was and ever will be. Bill learned to understand and respect every living thing.
A veteran of the Cold War era, his working life led him to work on Top Secret radar technology and he later joined corporate life in the field of Medical engineering. Travelling the world as an engineering troubleshooter Bill visited hospital installations and businesses, giving vital support to those who helped people in dire need.
He spent 20+ years living in Germany, Holland and the Middle East, engineering, teaching and providing technical support for the most advanced systems using crystal technology. After serving as Medical Ultrasound technical advisor to the Palace of the King of Morocco for 4 years, Bill ended up as BDE for a Proton Beam technology company joining the fight against cancer.
Bill moved back to the Highlands, to start his own company and develop new medical tech products with universities in Dundee and Glasgow as well as lecturing at the University of Dundee on crystal business and technology.
This was the glorious technical side of Bill’s life, but it is the more spiritual that eventually led to the emergence of the Highland Mystic.
The call which had followed him all of his life, the words and teachings of the “Old Ladies” from the Glen, started by the side of the Loch in ancient times, began to become an overwhelming presence. He met with many people in the Highlands that had similar or complementary feelings and beliefs and he started to visit sites and places not seen since his childhood days, discovering new sites with alarming regularity.
This tied to the arrival of the skull-shaped crystal ‘Highland Mystic’ (Eye Stone) which channelled a flood of writings, inspired by things and places seen and visited, (past & present) and the stories received along the way. The poetry comes in waves, tales of everything, whether earthbound or ethereal, blown in on the spirit energies that live within and around everything that is and ever was.
